The Learning Support Centre (LSC) was set up in 1985 to meet an increasing need in the immediate locality and further afield. The LSC caters for 11 – 16 year old pupils who have statements of Special Educational Needs. The majority of pupils have learning difficulties falling within the range associated with Moderate Learning Difficulties and many also have additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, Speech and Language difficulties, Hearing/Sight Impairment or other disabilities. Placement within the LSC is made by the Education Authority, North Eastern Region, Special Education Branch, with the agreement of the Principal/Board of Governors and Parents.
